Sarah & Jeremy

They met:

They got engaged:

They tied the knot:

Sarah & Jeremy’s wedding was unlike any other wedding we have ever photographed. Not only did they fly us all the way over to New Zealand to be part of their celebrations, but they welcomed us with warm arms and made sure we felt at home in this beautiful part of the world.

Pairing their loves of travel and adventure together with their wedding resulted in the most incredible weekend full of so many beautiful memories, and of course incredible photographs!

If you are going to marry the one you love, why not do it in a place of absolute beauty and perfection?! It definitely makes for a grand gesture, that’s for sure!

We understand that the days surrounding the wedding are equally as important as the actual wedding when your nearest and dearest have travelled so far to be with you. Therefore, it didn’t make sense for us to just document the one day, but to capture the surrounding events too….

The day before

In the lead up to the wedding, we heard how much Sarah & Jeremy love the TV show “Friends”, and how they love the idea of them and their bridal party being similar to the characters in the show. Therefore, what better way to show this then to reenact the opening scene of their favourite show?! After a while of searching, they managed to find an identical brown couch and the right coloured umbrellas which made for an amazing afternoon down by Lake Wanaka, filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of fun photos.

On the Day

Sarah & Jeremy had secretly organised for a massive surprise to take place not long after the ceremony finished. In true James Bond style, without notice, a helicopter landed right behind where the ceremony had taken place. They then ran out and jumped in, with Sid and his camera in tow, to fly off to the nearest mountain top to take some breathtaking photos. It was honestly the best way to spend their first moment together of husband and wife, as they were basically on top of the world.

The Day After

The day after the wedding, Sarah & Jeremy hosted a brunch in the beautiful Black Barrel Lodge where Sarah got ready the morning of the wedding. It was so great to just float around and take photos of everyone interacting and catching up in a more relaxed manner. It was great hearing everyone’s favourite parts of the wedding day, and chatting about all the exciting things that are to come in the couples life together.
