Happy Monday! Let’s ease into this week with some fun facts you may not know about Callena:
1. After high school I was going to go play college soccer in the USA. I decided against it because there weren’t any arts/photography courses available to study. Lucky, as I would never have met Sid if I had gone.
2. The only food in the whole world I despise is celery. I hate it with a passion.
3. My favorite tv show is Friends and I probably rewatch the whole series at least once a year.

We are feeling festive this Friday, even though we will just being doing our usual social distancing and not attending any events this weekend. BUT if we could party, this is what we’d like to think it would look like 💃🏼 🍸 🎉

In an effort to show our faces on here a bit more, we thought we’d share a few fun facts about us that you might not know, starting with Sid ☺️
1. Before dating Callena, I hated coffee. After slowly having sips of hers I’m now hooked and can’t have any less than 4 cups per day!
2. As a kid I often got called BFG as I reached 6 foot tall at age 12.
3. There is 1 photo I am desperate to create but haven’t been able to yet, which is of a turtle underwater. Every time we have had the chance, the turtles hide from me or take off at top speed. I’ve even jumped out of a canoe once when I saw one swimming nearby to try to photograph it.

One thing we love capturing in photos is movement, energy and emotion. Not every single photo needs to be clean and crisp, especially if it doesn’t fit in with the moment. We loved nothing more than watching these two spin around after the sun had set on their wedding day, capturing that dizzy and giddy feeling 💕

It still might be a while until we are back shooting weddings BUT we are SOOO excited to be getting into some family and couples sessions very very soon! We have been itching for so long to get creating again, and we can’t wait! 🎉😀💕

Seriously, how weird is it that we now look back on party pics with pangs of nostalgia and loss? It feels like a life time ago that we were allowed to stand next to people, let alone climb on their shoulders!! We can’t wait to capture carefree celebrations and dance floor shenanigans again some time soon 💃🏼
